VISION THERAPY

Unfortunately, many people don’t know what vision therapy is and how it may improve their visual comfort or performance in school or sports. When a person reads, if they experience headaches, loss of place, blurred vision, double vision or their eyes don’t feel like they are working together, they would probably benefit from vision therapy. Children, who experience difficulty in the classroom with comprehending their reading, learning how to read, handwriting, and spelling, would also benefit from visual therapy.

Visual therapy is a program of planned visual activities, which strengthen the way a person uses their visual system. We take our vision for granted when it develops properly. However, many people do not develop all of the areas of vision, which are necessary for easy reading and learning. The good news is with proper testing, these areas can be identified and then strengthened through visual therapy.

If you or someone you know would benefit from vision therapy please ask our doctors any questions you have, or call to discuss your questions with Dr. Haba. Dr. Haba is also available to come to your school or service organization to speak on the subject of visual learning.
